Pierre Bourg was born December 1, 1740 at Tracadie, Ile St. Jean. He was the fifth son and last child in a family of eight children of Michel Bourg and Anne Boudrot. He married Cecile Dugas about 1772 on Il. Madame.
Pierre was listed as one of the Acadian detainees in the registers of Port Cumberland, the old Fort Beausejour in 1763 along with three of hisfour brothers, Michel, Joseph, and Abraham, and sisters, Anne, Marie, and Madeleine. Pierre was counted at Miquelon in 1767 along with two of his brothers, Michel and Joseph, his mother, and two sister, Anne and Madeleine. Pierre and Cecile had at least three sons: A) Joseph; B) Jean;C) Pierre. A more detailed history of this family is available in "OurAcadian Heritage".
