On page 98 of his book, Cyrille BERNIER cites

16 Jean-Baptiste [BERNIER] (8) --Cap 5/8/1777
Marguerite Jolicoeur

After page 144 before page 145, there are some photographs. One photograph is of a monument listing the genealogy of all of the direct line of BERNIER descendants that inhabited the ancestral family farm. The inscription at the top of the monument is "NOBLESSE DE LA CHARRUE". Jean-Baptiste BERNIER (1745-1784) is listed on the monument. M-Rose BERNIER (1946-) is of special interest in this genealogical database that is being maintained by David COLE (b.1944). M-Rose BERNIER is the mother-in-law of Barbara COLE (b.1983) the daughter of David COLE. M-Rose BERNIER is a descendant of Charles BERNIER (1782-1840) who is a son of Jean-Baptiste BERNEIR (1745-1784). Charles BERNIER (1782-1840) did not inherit the family farm. Instead, it was Charles BERNIER's brother Jean-Baptiste BERNIER (1778-?) who inherited the family farm. This is why thename of Charles BERNIER (1782-1840) is not on the monument
