2. Came to Tadoussac from France 30 Aug 1620 with his daughter, Ann.
3. His first wife, Anne's mother, probably died before 1620. Her name
is unknown.
4. He settled "near Quebec" in 1634. Part of his farm became known as
"the Plains of Abraham" where Generals Wolfe and Montcalm fought.
5. "Some historians and genealogists believe Anne to be the daughter of
Abraham MARTIN and Marguerite LANGLOIS, however it is now generally
thought she may have been his sister." (Pg 205, A Compilation of the
Descendants of Jean COTE and Anne MARTIN...)
6. He was a Master Pilot and arrived in Canada in 1619.
