While fishing between the Madeleine Islands and Anticosti Island, the schooner of Louis CHIASSON, father of a family of 7, was surprised by a gale on the 9th of April, 1831, which resulted in the loss of many lives, including his son-in-law, Bruno Vigneau, his sons- Louis [Chiasson] and Charles [Chiasson]. [Also lost were] Joseph Chiasson, Charles-Hyacinthe Bourgeois and numerous others. Voir. Boudreau, Dennis M.
