Year of birth may be 1581. AKA Paine.
Immigrated to America in 1638. Came with his three surviving children -Elizabeth, Moses Jr., and Stephen, on the ship "The Castle." He was a proprietor in 1638 in Cambridge, MA. He was a commissioned ensign of themilitary company. He changed the spelling of his name from Payne to Paine.
His will was dated Jun. 17, 1643 and was proved Oct 30, 1643. He came to New England in 1638 with three children. His first wife was Mary Benison.

Freeman Jun 2 1641. He had estates in Cambridge, Concord, and at Piscataqua, as well as Braintree. He had three children to whom, by will of Jun 17 1643, he divided his property: half to Moses (made executor), onequarter to daughter Elizabeth, and the other to son Stephen, who was to be under Moses' governm. until 23 years old. Codicil was added just before his death and added his wife Judith (not long his wife). The willwas probated Oct 30, 1643.
