I had placed James BANKS (b. 1766 d. 10 Aug 1858) to be the son of Elizabeth ELAND. But extensive work by T.Fowler, source DC0167, indicates more strongly that James BANKS (b. 1766 d. 10 Aug 1858) is the son of Mary STEAD. Mary STEAD was the first wife of John Banks (b. 1726), the father of James BANKS (b. 1766 d. 10 Aug 1858). Elizabeth ELAND was thesecond wife of John Banks (b. 1726).
