| Irish loyalists to the core
| and were loyal to James II.
| Battles went well at first. But the Irish army was defeated by
| King William of Orange.
1691 | King William won the final battle at
| Aughrim in July 12.

1900 The population in 1843 of 8 million is

1914 A Home Rule Bill passes but is suspended

Four Courts.

marking the end of the
"Munster Republic"
