The author of the GOATCHER Photo Archive is Neville Spenser GOULTON. He created the Goatcher Photo Archive from a group of photos of person's named GOATCHER from amongst the photos in his archives. He created the Goatcher Photo Archive for David COLE, whose mother, Marion Isabelle nee GOATCHER COLE, was the great-granddaughter of William James GOULTON (1818-1906) and Harriett MOORE (1819-1852). Neville is the great-great-grandson of the same William James GOULTON (1818-1906) and Harriett MOORE (1819-1852), who were married on 4 SEP 1842 in Selby, , Yorks., Eng. William James GOULTON (1818-1906) appears in the GOULTON family photo shown below. He is the person in the middle of the photo (the man with the white beard wearing the black hat.)

The above GOULTON Family Picture which was taken c1900 hung on a wall in the home of a GOULTON descendant, Marion (Nee Goatcher) COLE. It is now in the archives of her son, David Cole. It contains 4 rows of people and an inscription showing their names:

The people are: 1* Grace, 2* Albert, 3* Frederick, 4 Uncle William [GOULTON b.1844-1920] (Grandpa GOULTON's son), 5* Alice, 6 Albert's wife [Elsie nee JARMAN], 7 Wm James GOULTON, i.e. Grandpa GOULTON (1818-1906), 8 Uncle William's wife Nellie [Helen JACKSON], 9* Minnie Jacobs [Marion Helen GOULTON].
Based upon recently-received information from Neville Spenser GOULTON:
- Albert's wife is known to be Elsie JARMAN.
- Minnie JACOBS is Marion Helen GOULTON who married Sidney JACOBS. We also deduce that:
- Helen JACKSON was known as Nellie
- All of Uncle William's children (marked with an *) are in the photo!
- Uncle William is William GOULTON (1844-1920)

Johanna GOATCHER (1927-2012)
GOATCHER, Johanna - Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the Villa Care Centre on Saturday December 29th, 2012 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Louis Goatcher. Loving mother of Jane Playter (Bill), Daniel Goatcher (Linda) and Christina Tobias (Jerry). Grandmother of Melissa Lefley (Brennan), Andrew Goatcher (Jessica) and Robert Tobias. Great-grandmother of Kyla and Daniel Lefley. A private family service was held at the NICHOLLS FUNERAL HOME CREMATION CENTRE . Spring interment, St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Midland S.P.C.A. would be greatly appreciated.
