******************************** Pico_Software Descripton (simple) ******************************** Various sets of Software exist for the Pico, some in MicroPython and some in Basic. Each group of software is stored on the Pico computer itself, by Thonny, but a copy usually exists. One group is called Projects/pix/pico and is stored in folder pico_4f31_on_Fla53 on _Fla53S032G. A copy has been zipped into pico_4f31_on_Fla53.7z which exists in the folder of Article 215 itself. The whole user section of the uSD drive Fla53S032G (Desktop and ???) has been backed up onto Fla58D064G along with many other uSD's. The whole user section of Fla53S032G has been zipped up onto Fla53S032G.7z and stored in folder /e/ of Articles by Old King Cole, so that it can be included here in Article 215. In accordance with the format of the IX Software Repository, clicking on the "uppoer" portion of a module, a simple description is shown. But clicking on the "lower" portion of a module, the whole code module is made available. A short module is listed in a window. A long module or group of modules is usually zipped up (by the Raspberry) keeping the folder intact. Zipped modules can be downloaded. This mechanism hides the complexity of the folder structure and greatly reduces the complexity of the Article, especially Article 215 which would suffer greatly. Only the user portion of a Raspberry uSD card is backed up, also in an effort to reduce the work and space requirements of the back-up procedure. The Flash drives backups themselves are not stored within each Article's folder. Instead they are stored in the "e" folder of http://www.ePhotocaption.com . ******************************** /_Desc_Pico_Software.txt
