Ambient Temperature Alarm

The tiny computer shown in the right-most photo above is a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W. It is being prepared to become part of an ambient temperature alarm. The actual temperature sensing will be done by a thermometer inside the processor IC of the Raspberry Pico (that will be housed in the lower-left white Pico case shown above.) The Pico itself will be located in the refrigerator or in the room whose ambient temperature is being monitored. The Pico will be connected to the Pi Zero 2W via the white cable. The black cable will provide 5V power to the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, which will provide power to the Pico. The red cable will not be required because no monitor is necessary. The alarm will be detected by the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W which will send an email to the owner via wifi and the Internet. If necessary, this headless Pi Zero 2W can be monitored using a Windows-10 laptop connected to the same router as the Pi Zero 2W. The laptop will use Remote Desktop Connection software to control the Pi Zero 2W using the screen, keyboard and mouse on the laptop. Both the alarm software and the Linux Operating System are stored on the tiny micro SDCard that can barely be seen at the very bottom of the right-most photo above.

M2.5 screws

They are #4-40 screws in the US.

Maker Pi Pico Board

The Cytron Maker Pi Pico Board (at Web Source 06 below) comes in two formats: with or without the RPi Pico board soldered to it. The board (with the Pico soldered to it) has male connectors for access to each of the 40 GPIO pins. The board (without the Pico pre-soldered to it) has female connectors for access to each of the 40 GPIO pins. As of Jan 2022, the board without the Pico soldered to it is "Out of Stock".
